the camel

i remember this from school : is this by ogden nash?

for centuries in desert lands,
the camel tramped the burning sands.
no other beast could stand the heat,
no other had such well padded feet.
but now he doesn't travel far -
the arabs use a motor car.

  1. No, I don't think its Nash. I googled it and there was another website which had this poem but there is no information about the poet. However, found this funny rhyme and taking the liberty to post it here:

Mary had a little lamb, and a little beef,
She then consumed a little coleslaw with some chillies underneath,
And then some bread and butter and some pork chops served with thyme.
How strange to find such a greedy girl in an English Nursery Rhyme!

ps: It would have been great if I could have just commented here with my Name/URL.
